Native to San Diego California, Christian Worship Artist Haley Montgomery has been leading worship since age 14. In addition to being born with musical talent and an anointing for worship, Haley was also a successful nationally competitive figure skater for many years; music was not always the primary focus of this young leader. At the age of 16, God called Haley to lay down the life of a professional athlete and worship Him through the sacrifice of surrendering her false identity. Haley says, “I knew He was calling me to a life greater than the one I was making for myself…” In the fall of 2007 she released her first EP titled “Breakthrough”.
Her second record and first full length worship album "Who You Are” was officially released November 20, 2009. This record demonstrates Haley’s anointing for worship and her heart that desires revival. She is considered to be a voice of this generation and wants nothing more than to write music that ushers in the presence of God. She says, "I have concluded I don't have a ton of new stuff to say, just an old TRUTH to share. I simply acknowledge I’m an instrument and am compelled to speak out the Gospel that has been and will be our salvation... Sing of a Kingdom that is here and is coming... Worship the King who will rein forever."
Despite her young age of 20 years old, Haley has dedicated her life to the purposes of God. The Lord is her life. Her passion is to serve Him with every ounce of her being, and this simple, yet consuming commitment resonates in her powerful lyrics, dynamic arrangements, and unique soulful style. The strength of her voice reflects the confidence she possesses as she stands before God, though not by her own doing. Humble, yet unashamed, Montgomery offers up her heart through her music, worshiping God with all that she is.
